Top 10 albums of 2009 so far...

I was busy writing an explanation for this, this morning, when S came and interrupted me. I lost my train of thought and so the reasoning behind the list will come later when I can be bothered returning to it.

In the meantime here's my top 10 so far (in alphabetical order):

Akron-Family - Set 'Em Wild, Set Em Free
Bibio - Ambivalence Avenue
Bowerbirds - Upper Air
Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca
Future of the Left - Travels With Myself And Another
Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest
Handsome Furs - Face Control
Magic Arm - Make Lists Do Something
Phoenix - Lovetune For A Vacuum
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Its Blitz

...and because I'm this kind of guy, the 5 biggest disappointments so far:

Crystal Antlers - Tentacles (Love the EP, one of my favourite records last year...then this!)
Fever Ray - Fever Ray (The Knife did it better)
St Vincent - Actor (Another amazing debut followed by a dull second album)
Wavves - Wavves (what was the hype around this realy?)
Why? - Eskimo Snow (I had a sneaky peak at this and 'their least hip-hop sounding' album is also their worst)

Bring on Autumn...
